Add Products to a Warehouse
Learn how to add products to a warehouse's inventory in Vintaflow.
Overview
Before you can track inventory and fulfill orders, products must be assigned to warehouses. This creates the inventory records that track stock levels.
Accessing the Add Products Feature
From the Warehouses List
- Navigate to Warehouses (from an account)
- Find the warehouse in the list
- Click the Add Products icon (plus sign) on the warehouse row
From Warehouse Details
- Open the specific warehouse
- Look for the Add Products button in the products section
Adding Products Step-by-Step
Step 1: Select Products
- In the modal, use the Search for existing products field
- Type to search for products by name or UPC
- Click to select products (you can select multiple)
- Selected products appear below with configuration options
Step 2: Configure Each Product
For each product you're adding:
Basic Information:
- SKU - Stock Keeping Unit (click refresh icon to auto-generate)
- Quantity - Initial stock quantity
- Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) - Minimum units per order
Product Variants (Optional):
If the product has variants (sizes, colors, etc.):
- Check the Has Variants checkbox
- Click Add Variant to create variant entries
- For each variant, enter:
- Name - Variant identifier (e.g., "Size")
- Value - Specific value (e.g., "Large")
- SKU - Variant-specific SKU
- Quantity - Stock for this variant
Step 3: Submit
- Review all product configurations
- Click Add to assign products to the warehouse
- The products now appear in the warehouse's inventory
Managing Added Products
Once products are added:
- View them in the warehouse's product list
- Edit inventory details by clicking on a product
- Update quantities as stock changes
- Set forecast dates for planning
Removing Products
To remove a product from the modal before saving:
- Click Remove next to the product entry
To remove a product from a warehouse after it's been added:
- Open the warehouse details
- Find the product in the list
- Use the delete option (if you have permissions)
Tips
- Add all products you plan to stock before setting up orders
- Use meaningful SKUs for easy identification
- Set accurate MOQ values for reorder calculations
- Configure variants if you track inventory by size, color, etc.
- Initial quantity should match your actual physical stock
