# Add Email Recipients to an Account

Learn how to add email addresses to an account so the right people receive reports and alerts.

## Why Add Multiple Emails?

Adding several addresses to an account means:

* Key team members receive inventory alerts
* Reports reach the right people
* Order notifications go to everyone who needs them

## Adding Emails to an Account

1. Navigate to the **Account** you want to update
2. Click **Edit**
3. Find the **Emails** field
4. Type an address and press **Enter** to add it
5. Repeat for each address

Each address appears as a removable tag.

## Removing an Email

Click the **X** on the tag for the address you want to remove.

## Enable Inventory Alerts

To have stock alerts sent automatically:

1. In the account edit form, find the **Alert Inventory Levels** checkbox, at the top right of the Emails field
2. Tick it

Every listed address then receives inventory notifications - critical level, low stock, and overstock. See [Inventory Management](https://help.vintaflow.com/en/article/inventory-management-eknnwq/).

## Email Validation

* Addresses must be well formed, for example `name@domain.com`
* Invalid addresses show an error
* At least one address is required per account

## Viewing Account Emails

**From the accounts list** - the first two addresses show as badges. Hover **+ X more** to see the rest.

**From account details** - open the account **Info** tab, where all addresses are listed under Supplier Information.

## Recipients on a Single Order

Account-level emails cover ongoing notifications. To notify people about one specific order, use the **Email Recipients** field when creating it - see [Create an Order](https://help.vintaflow.com/en/article/create-an-order-12cedi7/).

## Contacts and Distribution Lists

For finer control over who receives what, Vintaflow has a full communications directory. Contacts are people who receive notifications without logging in, and distribution lists control which communications each person gets.

| If you find yourself maintaining long email lists on many accounts, move to [Distribution Lists and Contacts](https://help.vintaflow.com/en/article/distribution-lists-and-contacts-1cet02u/) instead - it is built for exactly that.

## Tips

* Add addresses for everyone who needs order and inventory updates
* Keep lists current - remove addresses for people who have left
* Enable **Alert Inventory Levels** on accounts that need proactive stock warnings
